Decorating our tree!

Tonight we decorated our inside tree (artificial). The kids did it all by themselves. It looks like they decorated it : )

Starting a family tradition!

Anyone who knows Rob, knows that he is green! This year after discussion and compromise we decided to start a new family tradition. Instead of getting a real cut Christmas tree, every year we are going to purchase a Christmas tree and plant it on The Homestead. Hopefully the kids will continue the tradition with their families.

We then ended our evening and wonderful Thanksgiving break by making a Klatte Homestead favorite, Inside Out Oreos. Here is the recipe :

Oreo balls:

1 package of Oreo cookies

1 block of cream cheese
White almond bark

Crush the Oreos, mix in the mixer with the cream cheese. Roll them into small balls.

Melt the almond bark and use a spoon to drizzle on top of the balls.

Freeze until serve.

We Love The Johnsons!!!

Our friend's The Johnsons came over for dinner and a few games of Catch Phrase. It was fun for all!!! We are so excited to spend lots more evenings with them! So much fun to have met such great people!!!

We have so much to be thankful for!  Our family, health, (healthy kids!!!) friends, our beautiful home and environment.  And our sense of humor!!!!  Lots of laughter...

Aspen's 1st bath

Aspen had his 1 month appointment with our pediatrician.  He weighs 10lbs 10oz and is 22.5 inches!  Big boy!!!  She said that we can go ahead and give him a bath.  So, that is what we did tonight!!!

Charades

We had a fun evening with the kids!  We hung Aspen's mobile above his crib.  Then we picked out of our family fun jar "Charades".  It was a nice rainy evening at The Homestead!

Gigi comes for a night!

Last night Gigi came and brought a yummy dinner from MCL.  Fried chicken and all of the fixins!!!  Then this morning Rob fixed biscuits and gravy & eggs and bacon.

A warm and wonderful November Saturday...

It was 66 degrees today.  We did some yard work, played, went on a walk, and had a picnic.  It was perfection!!!

My mom is taking Isabella to NYC for her 8th birthday!  I am so jealous!  So we celebrated her birthday with our family last night.  Happy Birthday sweet girl!
